It means that the thief will create a diversion to get out of the restaurant and allow innocent people to trample each other in fear. He gets away by using a gutless tactic. Innocent people get hurt.

Much like Martin and his Liberals have done with the Gomery report. Everyone knows we Canadians are indifferent. "Wait till the Gomery report comes out, then pass your judgment" pleaded Martin. It told us nothing we really didn't know or suspect and failed to substantially connect anyone in government. Now the Liberals can all wash their hands of any responsibility. It's like a bunch of little kids playing baseball. They knock a pitch through a neighbors window, they all start pointing fingers when the home owner comes out > "you threw the pitch".."you hit the ball".."you didn't catch the ball"..."whaaaa". A year has gone by and Canadians are over their initial anger and the Liberals will get their minority government. Martin is the thief who has pulled the wool over the Canadian voters eyes using a gutless tactic by making a claim of justice and accountability when he knew there would be none coming. And there will not be. 10 years from now the CBC will be running a story "where are they now...sitting on a beach sipping Pina Coldas and laughing".

As for your comments about the money being spent...how much money and time was wasted on the Gomery report that failed to provide the accountability and satisfaction all Canadians deserved? To point fingers at one political figure during a nation wide mud-slinging campaign is foolish and ignorant. Martin has said just as many dumbass things in his day. Not saying Harper is a good guy either. I'm saying they are cut from the same cloth. Don't try to paint one on velvet like he's Elvis.
